After dealing with the physical and emotional strains of chronic yeast infections for over four years, I found Mia Lundin. It was like a breath of fresh air. I had visited over 10 doctors and two so called specialists and had been told anything from “it’s all in your head” to “sometimes bodies just make lots of yeast and there is nothing more we can do for you”. Once in her office Mia did three things that no one else had done.

First, she listened to me. When I say “listened”, I do not mean she sat there pretending to listen while thinking about all the other patients she still may have to see that day. She really listened. Second, she believed me (notice I did not say appease). Third, she was willing to try a new approach. Her approach was to work with my body to treat the source of the problem, not just the symptom.

She suggested simple, non-invasive thing like changing my diet and taking some non-prescription supplements. This made me feel like I was working with my body, not against it. This treatment seems to be working although I am still working out some of the kinks. It may take me a while to get better but in the mean time I feel like I have someone working with me to find solutions and to help me get better. She has given me hope.
